Big Congratulations to sisters Samantha Vivanco and Kyara Vivanco for winning Best Junior and Reserve Best Junior (respectively) at the Hangtown Kennel Club Dog Show in Placerville on May 30, 2021 under Judge Johnny Shoemaker.
Samantha was showing her best friend CH Huntleigh’s THX Can I Have Another “Doc” and Kyara was showing Doc’s daughter CaliGold’s Two More Bottles of Wine “Cali”.
It was Sam’s winning weekend as she also won Reserve Best Junior on Saturday. Making good on a promise that if she won Best Junior she could show Doc in the breed ring the next day, they won Select Dog on May 31, 2021 at the Kennel Club of the California Sierra and went on to represent Golden Retrievers in the Owner Handler ring where they got a Group Two. Doc is currently ranked #4 in the nation in the AKC’s National Owner Handler Series rankings.
Hangtown also had a Best of Bred By Exhibitor competition on Monday May 31, 2021. Samantha showed Cali and won Best Bred By Exhibitor in the Golden Retriever ring as well as Reserve Winners Bitch and then went on to win a Group Three in the Sporting Group/Best Bred By.
